Some fashion stories are about clothes. Others are about creating a world. For the August 2026 issue of GLAMARTS Fashion & Media, we wanted to create the latter—a visual world where couture, heritage, beauty and personality come together to tell a story of timeless sophistication.
At the centre of this story is Navin Ahmed, whose naturally composed presence makes her an effortless embodiment of the editorial’s central idea: “Old-World Aristocracy Meets Contemporary Glamour.”
The photographs unfold like intimate portraits from an aristocratic drawing room. Rich, warm lighting, antique furniture, rustic textures and traditional-inspired jewellery establish an atmosphere of quiet grandeur. Yet the styling remains contemporary, allowing the images to feel modern rather than nostalgic.
The visual palette moves through sophisticated shades of dusty rose, deep blue and emerald green. Each colour reveals a different dimension of Navin’s personality. The dusty rose couture creates a romantic and regal opening, its intricate embellishments catching the warm light with an almost jewel-like quality. The blue ensemble introduces a cooler, more poised elegance, while the emerald look brings richness, vibrancy and a distinctly aristocratic character.
Across all three looks, the craftsmanship remains central.
The couture by Farin Ahmed of Zuhaira Elnaz Couture is defined by intricate embroidery, embellishment and traditional detailing. Rather than allowing the ornamentation to overpower the subject, the styling carefully balances the richness of the garments with Navin’s restrained expressions and graceful body language.
The jewellery follows the same philosophy. Elaborate traditional pieces frame the face and neckline, reinforcing the heritage-inspired mood while adding a sense of ceremonial grandeur.
The hair and makeup are equally intentional. Polished makeup, defined eyes and softly sculpted features complement the jewellery, while the varying hairstyles—from voluminous waves to more controlled, refined arrangements help distinguish each visual chapter.
What makes the photographs particularly compelling is their restraint.
There is no need for exaggerated movement or dramatic posing. Navin’s gaze, posture, hands and subtle expressions carry the narrative. In many frames, she appears less like a fashion model and more like the subject of a timeless painted portrait.

Glamarts: What does being the cover girl of GLAMARTS mean to you?
Navin Ahmed: It feels incredibly special because GLAMARTS has always celebrated individuality, fashion and visual storytelling. I wanted this cover to represent a side of me that is timeless, graceful and sophisticated. The entire experience—from the couture and jewellery to the styling and photography—felt like stepping into a beautiful world of old-world elegance.
Glamarts: How would you describe the final look?
Navin Ahmed: Regal, feminine and timeless. The outfit has such extraordinary detailing, while the jewellery adds a magnificent traditional character. I loved how everything came together without making the look feel excessive. It felt luxurious yet graceful.
Glamarts: What do you think makes this shoot different from a conventional fashion shoot?
Navin Ahmed: I think it feels more like a portrait than simply a fashion shoot. There is a story in the environment, the styling, the jewellery and the way the photographs were taken. Everything feels very considered, and that helped create a timeless mood.

Glamarts: Tell us about the couture created for this cover.
Farin Ahmed: I wanted the outfit to feel luxurious but deeply feminine. The dusty rose tone allowed the intricate embroidery and embellishments to speak beautifully, while the traditional detailing gave it a timeless character. Every element was designed to reflect refinement and aristocracy.
Navin was particularly beautiful in this creation because she carried the outfit with such natural grace. The way she presented the couture made the craftsmanship feel alive.
Glamarts: What was your vision when you saw the final styling?
Farin Ahmed: My vision was to create something that felt like a portrait from another era, but with a contemporary fashion sensibility. The jewellery, makeup, hair and styling complemented the couture rather than competing with it. The final result felt elegant, regal and very much in the spirit of Zuhaira Elnaz Couture.
Glamarts: The shoot features several colours and silhouettes. How do they work together as a collection?
Farin Ahmed: Each look brings a different expression of elegance. The dusty rose creates a romantic and aristocratic feeling, while the blue introduces a more poised and sophisticated character. The green brings richness and vibrancy. Although the colours are different, the craftsmanship and detailing maintain a consistent visual language throughout the story.

Glamarts: What was your approach as the Stylist and Creative Director?
Faisal Tushar: I wanted to build a complete visual identity rather than simply style a beautiful outfit. The couture already had extraordinary detailing, so my responsibility was to create an environment where its craftsmanship—and Navin’s personality—could breathe.
I deliberately leaned towards an old-world aristocratic mood: the antique chair, warm dramatic lighting, rustic backdrop, traditional jewellery and polished makeup all became parts of one visual narrative. The styling was designed to make Navin look like a timeless portrait of sophistication rather than simply a fashion cover.
Glamarts: What was the inspiration behind the old-world aristocratic setting?
Faisal Tushar: We wanted to create the feeling of an intimate royal portrait something reminiscent of an aristocratic drawing room, but interpreted through a modern fashion lens. The environment needed to feel rich and cinematic without becoming theatrical. Every element was selected to support the couture and Navin’s personality.
Glamarts: What did you want the audience to feel when they first saw the cover?
Faisal Tushar: I wanted them to pause. I wanted the cover to feel luxurious, intimate and slightly cinematic. Most importantly, I wanted it to communicate refinement in every thread and aristocracy in every detail without losing the personality and individuality of Navin Ahmed.

Glamarts: What was your photographic approach to this cover?
Sakib Muhtasim: The objective was to photograph Navin as a portrait of presence, not simply as a fashion subject. The warm, controlled lighting allowed the textures of the couture, jewellery and environment to come through beautifully. I wanted the image to have depth, richness and an almost painterly quality.
Glamarts: What made Navin particularly interesting to photograph?
Sakib Muhtasim: Her expressions and body language. She has a naturally composed presence, which made it possible to create a very restrained and sophisticated portrait. We didn’t need exaggerated poses. A subtle expression, the positioning of her hands, the fall of the hair and the way she carried herself were enough to create the mood.
Glamarts: How did the lighting contribute to the final images?
Sakib Muhtasim: The warm lighting was important in creating the atmosphere. It brought out the richness of the fabrics, embroidery and jewellery while adding depth to the environment. The intention was to make the photographs feel intimate and almost painterly, rather than simply brightly lit fashion images.
Glamarts: How would you describe the final photographic language?
Sakib Muhtasim: The final image was about quiet luxury, confidence and timeless beauty.
